Fiat first showcased the E-Ducato as a prototype in July 2019. They just revealed a production E-Ducato, which will become available to selected clients for pilot projects.
The EV version of the company’s light commercial van features the same load volume with its ICE-powered sibling.
- It is available in all body variants with the same load volume as the conventional Ducato, from 10 m3 to 17 m3, and the best payload on the market, up to 1,950 kg.
- Several battery options will be available for the E-Ducato, for range in a typical urban real delivery cycle from 200 to over 330 km.
- Maximum output of 90 kW, maximum torque of 280 Nm.
The urban focus of the new Fiat E-Ducato reflects its top speed, which is limited to 62 mph (100 km/h) for “improved energy absorption”. Depending on the body you choose, the E-Ducato offers a load volume from 10 to 17 cubic meters (353 to 600 cubic feet) and a class-leading payload of up to 1,950 kg.
In addition, every E-Ducato is 100 percent connected, featuring an exclusive suite of features to aid different types of customers, from individual professionals to those using a fleet management system.
Fiat’s new electric van will be soon subjected to extensive field testing by partner clients under normal working conditions before it goes officially on sale, something that the company promises to happen in the next few months. The Fiat E-Ducato will initially become available to order in the main European markets before expanding to other countries.
