Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota.

The first all-electric Lexus, the UX 300e, will come with a 10-year / 1,000,000 kilometre battery warranty when it goes on sale in Europe

More specifically, Lexus will be offering a 10-year (or 1,000,000 km/620,000 mile) warranty on all functional defects of the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) main battery and capacity degradation below 70%, provided that the owner respects the regular health checks foreseen in the maintenance program.

The three vehicles use a 54.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack.

Two trim levels of the Lexus UX 300e sell for 362,000 yuan ($51,100) and 385,000 yuan ($54,300). The electric UX has a range rating of 400 km (248 miles) on the NEDC cycle. The charging capacity is 6.6 kW for AC, with a 50 kW capacity for a DC quick charger.

Japanese automaker Toyota announced it will put three BEV models onto the China market in late April, formally starting its all-electric course from the world’s biggest auto market.

The upcoming advent of three models involves the C-HR EV, IZOA EV and the Lexus-branded UX 300e, which is set to hit the market on April 26.

The C-HR EV and IZOA E will be produced by Toyota’s Chinese joint ventures FAW Toyota Motor and GAC Toyota Motor, respectively. They boast a range of 400 kilometers under the New European Driving Cycle assessment of mileage standards. Lexus has no plants in China, so the Lexus UX 300e will be imported.
